I have an assortment of weird nerdy hobbies and interests. Said hobbies include folk and historical dancing, writing song parodies, obsessing over Buffy the Vampire Slayer, writing angry letters to newspapers and politicians, finding song lyrics or poems that can be sung to the tune of other songs, cooking (okay, fine, that's neither weird nor nerdy), and doing an astrological system based on what movie won the Best Picture Oscar for the year you were born.
I have a girlfriend/partner/wife, Ingrid. We've been together since January 1998. We got married in a fever in February 2004, during the brief window in which same-sex marriage licenses were being issued in San Francisco. It's impossible to sum up my feelings about her in a couple of sentences without being mushy or trite, so I'm not going to try.
Some boring biographical data: I was born in Chicago on December 31, 1961. I graduated from Reed College in 1983, and have lived in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1984. I currently have a day job at Last Gasp, a small press/alternative book and comic distributor/publisher/mail-order company.
If you want to say hi, you can drop me a line.
